The Return

Drifting as if from some ancient time

My conscious became aware

There was no light or dark or sound

No sense of movement or brush of air

If there was a past the gate was sealed

And no future was in sight

It was then I crossed the barrier

To the place of dark and light

An endless stretch of sparkling jewels

Were strewn across my way

And each were made of countless stars

Where souls would come to play

I drifted on through this wondrous place

As if guided by an unseen hand

Have I journeyed to this cosmic shore

To find one grain of sand?

At last I saw my journeys end

I knew this place was right

The bluest jewel and brightest pearl

Bathed in brilliant light

Another barrier lay ahead

For which I had the key

Where soul and body are joined as one

And a mother waits for me

I'll lay and wait in that warm place

Until my time of birth

Then with this gift I bring with me

Spread love upon the earth

The Dark Night of the Soul

I would not care about you if I didn't feel your pain

I would not need your company but I can't bear loneliness again

I would not need to find myself if the world had been enough

And I would have known life's meaning if you had returned my love

I will not live for the moment and take all that I can

My future will be stolen by those who scheme and plan

Will life continue after death is there more pain to bear?

Or will I close my eyes one day and awareness is not there

If God exists I see no proof for God was never in sight

And now my heart is broken as my soul walks through the night

As I gaze out from this lonely soul to the journey from my birth

I see the Love I left behind was the only thing of worth

In my sacrifice and suffering was a better life for some

And I have left a better world for the children that will come

Now as the darkness deepens and nothing I become

I put down all I've carried and stand alone as one

I was never a part of the world we see I am just a passer by

Yet being who I AM my friend I will come when I hear you cry

I stand alone in peace once more and in my darkest night

I find the proof that God exists as I step into the Light

My name is I AM, I am here in this head
In the centre of mind, from where all things are read

In the centre of the universe which is not yet defined

My name is I AM, I search for divinity
Wherever I go I am the centre of infinity

I've seen many things, yet I've not seen my face

My name is I AM, it's my self I must find
Be in one place alone, with the world left behind

My name is I AM, my senses are stilled
In the silence I wait, where nothing is willed

My name is I AM, there's nothing I see
And all that I feel, is the presence of me

My name is I AM, there's nothing I need
Only that which I borrowed can be taken or bleed

My name is I AM, there's nothing I fear
And I feel perfect love, for my maker is near

My name is I AM, not below or above
For I am that I am completed by love

My name is I AM, I began somewhere in time
Created with love, by you the Divine

Nothing

Without love we have nothing but material things

No lasting joy that togetherness brings

We always feel need and there's never enough

Of the cars and the houses and electrical stuff

We put on our jewellery, best clothes and vain face

Then we dine and we holiday in every nice place

And people they gather to know us with pride

We think we are rich but we're bankrupt inside

We're the beautiful people well spoken and read

And we sleep well at night for our conscience is dead

Our friends and our lovers we buy as we need

And we get a good tax break by doing a good deed

If we lose all our riches where would we be?

For the conscience is dead and our spirits not free

We care not for others for our hearts made of stone

And we die as we live, forever alone

So ask us some day when our backs at the wall

And we'll tell you with tears we had nothing at all

Inner Voice

Still yourself in a silent place

And listen for the footsteps of your inner voice

It is shouting in vain and crying alone

Unheard through this world full of noise

There's been so many voices that have called

And you've followed through their doors

But they only led to hurt and empty rooms

and you were not sure which voice was yours

They tugged on your sleeves said you only live once

All that matters is your pleasure and needs

Take all that you can and care not for others

There's no one to judge all your deeds

This path that is dark where the blind lead the blind

Is the way to a cold empty place

Where your life has no meaning, and you're lonely and used

And fall asleep with a tear on your face

Now the silence is deep and a gentle voice calls

It's the voice of love from your soul

It will lead you back through all of those doors

Forgive you and make you whole

This inner voice this voice of love

Is the greatest gift of all

Let others not lay siege to it

Imprisoned behind a wall

Have faith in love and you will see

This life is not the end

It can feed the poor and heal the sick

And turn an enemy into a friend

The truth it will lay before you

And its light will show the way

Then you will leave the night

And walk free into the dawn of a beautiful day

Let truth be the guardian of your soul

And let no darkness in

And you will see that to intentionally hurt

Is the one and only sin

There is no fear and guilt in love

And the world's chains it will tear apart

And there lies the greatest truth of all...

It was always in your heart

Chains

I was born into this world and my spirit was free

It was chained and made worthless through the God they gave me

They said not to question the one up above

So I stayed on my knees and prayed for his love

I gave all of my love yet none I received

And I knew deep inside that I'd been deceived

Now I live on my feet and my spirit is free

I found the True God that was always in me

It is the darkness that deceives and leads us astray

From Love who is God, the Truth, the Light and the Way

Faith

In our pleasure and pain

In our loss and our gain

In our hope and despair

In what we keep or we share

In our nightmares and dreams

In our confusions and schemes

When our feelings begin

We find the pathways within

Our faith in these things, are perfect and true

Sometimes they show things, that we never knew

If our faith was as great and we followed its call

We would follow Loves Path and then would know all

In Loves Truth there’s no darkness, sorrow and pain

If we follow its path, we will know peace once again

Loves's Quest

I have walked with angels and stood on the shore of the sea of love

I have stood in a rainbow made of tears from above

I have stood in the moonlight in the forest of dreams

I have bathed in the lake fed by sadness’ streams

I have seen love forged in heaven and in a soul sealed

I have seen it sent to this place and for us was revealed

I have seen hearts that are broken and cast on the floor

I have seen those that are lost and know not love anymore

I have seen the joy of a mother as she holds her new child

I have seen the tears on her face as she cried as she smiled

I have seen rivers of faith and mountains of despair

I have stopped and looked back and the mountains weren’t there

I have looked in my heart and I’ve seen all these things

I have prayed for the peace that only love brings

I am a soul no greater than you

We will all join with love, when our journeys are through

The Journey

This life is just a place we walk

Where other souls we meet

Some carry precious love within

That no darkness can delete

I will never lose the path of Love

Not matter how dark the night

For you are always there with me

To guide me with your light

These bodies that we wear like clothes

Will someday be worn out

Then we will walk in a better world

Of that there is no doubt

I will see you then as I see you now

As a soul that’s truly blessed

And of all the souls I ever knew

Yours truly is the best

Love gives life true meaning

Not measured by the years

And when this journey ends my friend

I will honour yours with tears

Free Spirit

Neither Gods or Devils a free spirit can tame

No worldly desires can put out its flame

It carries the Truth which no one can take

And its eyes can see all, through its soul that’s awake

No prison can hold it, fear cannot subdue

And guilt belongs not in that which is true

To see through Truth’s window, with the spiritual eyes

You must first clean the glass and admit you’re not wise

Many said follow, the truth is with me

But they shared only chains for their spirits weren’t free

Through the door to freedom, only one thing you can take

That is the Love that’s inside, the rest you must forsake

Forget all desires, the self and the past

Lay down your future and put yourself last

Nothing in this world without Love has a worth

From Love you were conceived and it waits for your birth

Cling only to Love and then you will see

Through the mirror of Love, a spirit that’s free

Footsteps

The pieces of my broken heart lay shattered on the floor

Was then I heard your footsteps and a knock came on the door

I stood alone in the darkened room and all I felt was fear

Please go away my heart is broke and no one else comes near

So many promised love to me and led my heart astray

But I was always left alone to cry another day

My heart is safely locked away to protect it from more pain

I have no trust left in me and I will never love again

Again a knock came on my door and a gentle voice did say

I ask for nothing for myself and I will not go away

The door it slowly opened and standing in the light

Was my Angel and my Guardian, with wings of perfect white

A hand did reach towards me and my heart began to mend

For I knew this was my soul mate, my lover and my friend

Those walls I built around my heart lay crumbled on the ground

And as I walk from this lonely place, I know my dream is found

Doors

We lay among the forest flowers

Their scent was on the breeze

It was as if a gentle wave rolled by

As the leaves danced on the trees

What wondrous feelings deep inside

As my spirit began to soar

Before me lay a magical world

That had opened up its door

There are no places such as these

On maps of any kind

But many lay before me

Through the doorways of my mind

There are two worlds we live in

And each is a separate place

Yet the spiritual and the material

You will find, are in the same space

The spiritual world is where love lives

You’ll seek it if you’re wise

And if you’d know what I found there

Just gaze into my eyes

Three Keys to Heaven

The dark storm is ending, religion dying in deceit

Its guilt and fear leaving, its lies laid at my feet

It made women a slave and the world it made dark

With every tear fallen, was drawn confusions mark

Every tear is a question, many fall as we cry

Like raindrops from clouds that fill the soul’s sky

In this prison we live in, we see no sunshine or stars

Where deceit is our shackles and at the window its bars

Close your eyes to the world and get up off your knees

Lay down self desires and feel the warm breeze

Now you gaze at the stars and feel worthless and small

Yet here is love’s first key, for you was made all

Care only for others, in this there’s no sin

And here is love’s next key; you have to give in to win

Let love be your guide, its truth another key

And if your heart will just listen, your soul will be free

Search not for your God in a book or up above

Your Creator never left you, for in you is Love

Believe

We all have souls of that I’m sure

Some are rich and some are poor

Truth is that which we believe

Until a new one we conceive

Of all the creatures that have ever been

To only one kind was immortality seen

We strive for knowledge, its gift, its curse

It can make us the best or make us the worst

In the light we are safe in darkness we hide

But there’s only one haven from the animal inside

At the end of each question there’s always a why

So gods we create and place in the sky

Each god is the one and there can be no others

And each we defend by killing sisters and brothers

When will we see there is only one choice

And in all that is good, there’s only loves voice

When you pass through the doorway when leaving this world

Will you enter with tears or with wings unfurled

When you enter that place and see all those that you knew

Will you say I’m not staying, I have more left to do

If you return to this world so truth you may find

You will find it in those, who are gentle and kind

In those who you hurt yet they always forgive

And those who would die so others may live

Love is a gift you give and receive

And love will be yours, if you’ll only believe

Desolate

Did you hear that loud crack

It was my breaking heart

Please bind me with hope

I’m falling apart

My screams are in silence

Only heard deep inside

My soul wants to run

But there’s nowhere to hide

You took all that you could

With nothing returned

And what you didn’t need

You left barren and burned

Where will you go

When you leave me alone

For I am Mother Earth

And I once was your home
